The Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Chicago Medical Center is recognized world-wide for delivery of high quality medical service, education, and research. The Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition's Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center consists of physicians, surgeons, and researchers who are world-renown for their clinical and translational work. Therapy for IBD and IBD-related disorders has changed dramatically in the last 15 years, and many of the therapeutic advances been extensively studied and developed here. As a result of these advancements there has been an explosion of resources in the areas of research, education, and clinical care.
